About Caring House

"Caring House let me be a daughter again."--Resident's Daughter

We believe that everyone deserves to experience peace at the end of life. Caring House, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, was established to ease the burden associated with caring for a loved one at the end stage of life.

We welcome and are particularly focused on underserved and underrepresented communities. Historically, these communities have been unaware of or unable to access hospice oriented end-of-life care, and often have aggressive, less-than-ideal treatments that do not serve their beliefs, wants, and cultural values.

Instead of worrying about a loved one's daily needs, family and friends can spend their time supporting and connecting with their loved one and each other in a calm, tranquil, home-based setting.

Licensed as a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) by the California Department of Social Services (license no. 198602078), Caring House provides compassionate care, support and assistance for up to six residents and their families, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We seek to admit terminally ill patients of any age, ethnicity, national origin, gender, religious background, sexual orientation and housed status, who are receiving services from a Medicare-certified hospice agency. We ask families to pay what they can afford and use a sliding-scale payment model.

You provided empathy and dignity at the end of life. It is truly the peace of mind that makes the difference.--Resident's Family
