About Caring House
"Caring House let me be a daughter again."--Resident's Daughter

We believe that everyone deserves to experience peace at the end of life. Caring House, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, was established to ease the burden associated with caring for a loved one at the end stage of life.

We welcome and are particularly focused on underserved and underrepresented communities. Historically, these communities have been unaware of or unable to access hospice oriented end-of-life care, and often have aggressive, less-than-ideal treatments that do not serve their beliefs, wants, and cultural values.

Instead of worrying about a loved one's daily needs, family and friends can spend their time supporting and connecting with their loved one and each other in a calm, tranquil, home-based setting.

Licensed as a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) by the California Department of Social Services (license no. 198602078), Caring House provides compassionate care, support and assistance for up to six residents and their families, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We seek to admit terminally ill patients of any age, ethnicity, national origin, gender, religious background, sexual orientation and housed status, who are receiving services from a Medicare-certified hospice agency. We ask families to pay what they can afford.
You provided empathy and dignity at the end of life. It is truly the peace of mind that makes the difference.--Resident's Family
Our Mission
Caring House empowers individuals in the end-of-life stage to live the highest quality of life, respecting their values, beliefs, needs and those of their families and the communities we serve.

We provide a loving home of 24/7 care, compassion, support and dignity for individuals and their families, and especially those who are underrepresented and vulnerable.
Our Vision
We believe that everyone deserves to experience peace at the end of life. And, that their loved ones and family members should also partake of this peace, to connect, support, reflect and simply spend time together.
